New evidence has emerged about John and Mike Beckenridge's mysterious disappearance

New evidence has emerged about John and Mike Beckenridge's mysterious disappearance

Stepdad John had broken a court order and took 11-year-old Mike from his Invercargill school in 2015.

His car was found in the sea at the base of a cliff near Curio Bay, a week later - but no bodies.

A hearing's continuing in Christchurch this week, two years after the initial Coronial inquest.

A friend of Beckenridge allegedly told people they'd helped the pair out - and they're alive.

Coroner Marcus Elliot will hear from the man and others this week.
