Auckland's largest real estate company has recorded its busiest May in four years

Auckland's largest real estate company has recorded its busiest May in four years

Barfoot and Thompson says it sold more than a thousand homes last month -- more than a quarter more than in the previous month.

The company says static prices are contributing to the high turnover in property.

Managing Director Peter Barfoot says the market is in one of those rare moments where prices are stalled, and now represent better value for money than at any time in the last two to three years.

He says buyers are recognising the market is potentially on the cusp of change, and they're taking advantage of the prices on offer.
