Digital billboards will now display MetService's real-time warnings during severe weather events

Digital billboards will now display MetService's real-time warnings during severe weather events

The NEMA and MetService initiative means the billboards in areas under Red or Orange Warnings will display information and safety messaging.

Metservice's Sales Manager Kathryn Blackmore says it will help people receive timely and accurate warnings.

NEMA's Director of Civil Defence Emergency Management, John Price says with climate change contributing to more severe weather events - expanding the visibility of warnings is essential.
