Eva Mendes doesn't have the stresses of motherhood "all figured out" yet

Asked how she handles it all at this time of year, she told E! News: "I actually need the advice for Christmas time as much as other moms do! I certainly don't have it all figured out. For me, I happen to love Christmas music so that helps when things get a little too stressful.

"[I use] Christmas music and washing my dishes!"

The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans' star was then asked how she goes about finding the perfect gift for Ryan after more than a decade together but remained coy on giving any tips.

She quipped: "It's a secret..."

But when Eva was asked what her favourite part of the holiday season is, she admitted that it is a Spanish rice pudding specially made by her mother, and revealed that Christmas Eve is a "big night" in their family because they all have so much fun together.

She said: "My mom's arroz con leche! And noche buena dinner. Christmas Eve is a big night for us. So fun!"

Earlier this year, Eva admitted that she gets a lot of confidence from knwong that her partner still finds her attractive.

She told Sunday Times Style magazine: "I feel really f***ing sexy at times.

"The way my man looks at me is just ... at times I'm like, oh my God. That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he's giving me.

"There's so many things that can make me feel sexy and I'd say that I feel more sexy than not. I guess because I've never considered myself beautiful, but I've always felt very sexy."
