    The Wellington District Court's sentenced a 35-year-old man to five-and-a-half years jail-time - for acting as a facilitator of a website hosting computer-generated child sexual abuse material


    Donald Sarratt was found guilty of possessing, and knowingly making and copying objectionable material.

    Police acknowledge the sentence.

    An operation looking into the website started in 2022 - after a referral from US officials.

    It uncovered more than 85 thousand computer generated images - 30-thousand of which depicted graphic sexual abuse and torture of children and infants.
