Cordons are expected to be removed later today from the road where Marokopa fugitive Tom Phillips was shot dead

Cordons are expected to be removed later today from the road where Marokopa fugitive Tom Phillips was shot dead

Police says they're almost finished examining the camping areas used by Phillips and his children.

Waikato Acting District Commander Andrea McBeth says they 're meticulously examining the items collected from the site.

She says they'll be critical in determining who has been helping Phillips.

Extra staff brought into the district will stay on and be available for community reassurance.
