The body was discovered outside a Freemans Bay property in July.
The 32-year-old appeared today, with her lawyer indicating an insanity defence will be argued at trial.
He also indicated it's likely the woman, who has name suppression, will apply for electronic bail when called again next week.
The judge has ordered an insanity report be prepared and remanded the woman in custody.
