The Sydney Morning Herald reports NRL boss Andrew Abdo spoke to club CEOs over the phone this morning, allaying any fears over a potential talent raid.
It's unclear whether the NRL has the legal right to ban defecting players from returning, but the code will look to explore all possible protective measures.
Earlier this week, eight rugby union nations - including New Zealand - issued a joint statement warning any players who join R360 will be ineligible for international selection.
