Work is underway to set up a new dedicated support service for New Zealanders with upper gut cancers

Work is underway to set up a new dedicated support service for New Zealanders with upper gut cancers

The Gut Cancer Foundation's joining forces with Australia's Pancare Foundation, to launch a nurse telehealth system in May, where patients and whanau can go for advice and guidance.

Foundation Executive Officer Liam Willis says there's currently no where for people with these diagnoses to get extra support.

He says they're launching with a pilot to learn the community's needs, and when this data comes back they'll scale up to a full service.
