The Finance Minister appears to have joined Shane Jones' fight against "woke" banks

The Finance Minister appears to have joined Shane Jones' fight against "woke" banks

The NZ First Minister has criticised banks' operating climate-friendly policies - and told The Australian newspaper Kiwi subsidies of Aussie banks are being driven by unelected, UN-orientated "climate apostles".

BNZ has signalled it's withdrawing lending services from petrol stations - on a case by case basis.

Nicola Willis is not impressed, and says banking top-brass need to explain what's going on.

She says the Parliamentary select committee should call the banking chief executives back in over this issue.
