While there are no new community cases of Covid-19 today, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says it's too early to get optimistic

While there are no new community cases of Covid-19 today, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says it's too early to get optimistic

Auckland is at alert level three, and the rest of the country is at level two, for seven days - with settings being reviewed daily.

There are two new cases in MIQ - one person who travelled from Nigeria, the other from the US.

Ardern says there is a possible person-to-person link between Case M - a 21-year-man who tested positive yesterday - and the second family in this cluster.

Case M's mother now also has COVID-19.

Ardern says if the link between families is confirmed, it will provide extra comfort that the parameters of this cluster have been found.

Health boss Dr Ashley Bloomfield says so far no close contacts of the latest cases have been identified outside Auckland.
