Two people have been taken into Police custody, after an incident at a rural property near Warkworth, north of Auckland

Officers were called to the Goatley Road address around 11:30 this morning, after reports a firearm was discharged.

There are no reports of injuries.

Police believe the incident is isolated, involving two parties known to each other, and there isn't believed to be any wider risk to the public.

The incident also closed State Highway 1 around the Pukerito Roundabout, north of the township, which has since been reopened.
