Disgraced Christchurch eye surgeon Ian Dallison is being released from prison next month

Disgraced Christchurch eye surgeon Ian Dallison is being released from prison next month

He was jailed for six years and 10 months in 2023, after pleading guilty to attempting to murder his landlord in 2022 - and other charges.

The 66-year-old was refused early release last November - due to an extremely violent response to a stressful situation.

The Parole Board's now satisfied he no longer poses a threat, and has granted him release.

Dallison's previously said he's in a relationship with District Court Judge Jane Farish.
