The Black Caps appear set to get a new coach

The Black Caps appear set to get a new coach

Gary Stead's almost seven-year reign as mentor to the New Zealand men's cricket team

It's understood the sticking point was Stead's desire to only coach the red-ball side ... handing over the reigns on the one-day and T20 set-up.

The final candidates for the overall coaching job are former fast bowler Shane Bond and recent South African white-ball coach Rob Walter.

An Argentine court has declared a mistrial in the case of seven health professionals accused of negligence in the death of football great Diego Maradona in 2020.

The entire case will be re-heard.

New Zealand duo Erin Routliffe and Michael Venus have won their opening round mixed doubles match at the French tennis Open.
