    A German backpacker has been found alive - after being lost in the Australian outback for 12 days


    26-year-old Carolina Wilga faced harsh conditions in a remote and rugged reserve in Western Australia.

    Police found her abandoned vehicle deep in a nature reserve on Thursday before carrying out a large-scale aerial search.

    She was found late yesterday by a member of the public.
