Three new cases of measles have been confirmed - connected to the recent cases in the Wairarapa

It brings the total number of cases to eight.

One of the new cases is from the Manawatu, while the other two are in the Wairarapa.

Health New Zealand says all went into quarantine as recommended - however on review, one may have been infections for a brief period beforehand.

Six new locations of interest have been identified in Feilding, where the case visited last Friday.

Anyone who visited at the same time should monitor for symptoms.
