Auckland night-owls are about to get the chance to test out a Take 10 space

Auckland night-owls are about to get the chance to test out a Take 10 space

It's following the success of Wellington's initiative.

It launches tonight at the Ellen Melville Centre, in Freyburg Place.

Operations manager for the Vulnerable Support Charitable Trust Leigh Keown says the need for a safe space in the city was obvious from day-one.

They handed out more than two thousand bottles of water on the first night.

The Auckland Take 10 space will operate Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm and 3am for the next two months.
