A long-awaited return to the World Rally Championship for Kiwi driver Hayden Paddon

The 38-year-old, with veteran co-driver John Kennard, has signed a part-time deal with Hyundai Motorsport, eight years on from their last WRC event.

The pair will race up to five of the 14 rounds, including next month's season-opener in Monte Carlo next month.

Paddon says it was unexpected.
