The former Suits star hasn't had contact with her dad since her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018 but was keen to have a handwritten note delivered to him after he underwent life-saving surgery in the Philippines following a health scare on December 2.

Now a spokesperson for the duchess has confirmed Thomas has received his daughter's note, saying: "Given that a Daily Mail reporter has remained at her father's bedside throughout, broadcasting each interaction and breaching clear ethical boundaries, it has been exceedingly difficult for the Duchess to contact her father privately, despite her efforts over the past several days.
