An Auckland community development organisation says it is being forced to do more with less

It has been a difficult year for the homeless - with the Auckland population almost doubling between September 2024 and this May - to 800.
The Government's considering banning rough sleepers out of the CBD.
Lifewise Executive Chair Pam Elgar says many issues play into the problem - including addiction and mental health.
She says a house alone isn't enough if the individual isn't able to maintain a tenancy.
