    Could Lionel Messi be back for sixth football World Cup?


    Inter Miami team-mate Luis Suarez has told Madrid-based publication El Pais that the 37-year-old star has a desire to help Argentina defend their title in 2026.

    Eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi made his World Cup debut as an 18-year-old in 2006 - and was the key figure in Argentina's run to the championship at the 2022 tournament in Qatar .

    Argentina have already qualified for next year's World Cup - being held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
