Torrential rain has unleashed deadly flash floods along the Guadalupe River in south-central Texas

The floods have killed at least 24 people and many more people are missing.
The US National Weather Service declared a flash flood emergency on Friday, following thunderstorms with heavy downpours that dumped as much as 300 millimetres of rain.
At one point he Guadalupe River rose eight metres in 45 minutes as heavy showers soaked region.
