Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been accused of a new instance of sexual assault

The rapper, 55, is facing life in jail if convicted of all the federal charges he has been facing during his trial in New York, and as the jury in the case is locked in deliberations, a man has alleged the music mogul drugged and raped him at a party in 2021.

"You're about to get that Diddy love," Combs allegedly said during the assault, according to a civil suit filed on June 23.

The claim comes as Combs remains in custody awaiting a verdict in his ongoing federal sex crimes trial. The lawsuit, obtained by USA Today, alleges the assault occurred in Orange County, California, following a chance meeting between the then-twentysomething plaintiff and one of Combs' security guards at a gas station in Los Angeles.

According to the complaint, the man was invited to a party that evening, where he was handed a glass of champagne upon arrival. He later believed the drink had been drugged.

In the filing, the man claims he passed out while looking for a place to lie down and awoke to someone unbuttoning his trousers.

When he asked what was happening, he alleges Combs responded: "You're about to get that Diddy love."

The suit claims the man, who stated he had a wife and children, protested.

Combs allegedly responded he would give him a "great massage", before proceeding to undress him, cover him in liquid, and rape him.

The filing further alleges that when the man resisted, Combs threatened him by reciting his personal details, including "full name, address, date of birth, and driver's license number".

The man claims he was later intercepted by Combs' security team when he attempted to confront the music mogul.

According to the suit, he was threatened and coerced into signing a nondisclosure agreement, which he did not date.

Combs' legal team issued a statement to USA Today on June 30, denying the allegations.

"No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won't change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor," the statement said.

It added: "Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court."

The lawsuit was filed by Tony Buzbee, an attorney who is representing multiple clients in civil litigation against Combs.

In an email to USA Today, Buzbee said: "I'm proud to be leading the civil litigation and really look forward to trying these cases in court."

He described the latest complaint as "shockingly typical", referencing other suits and testimony from the federal trial.

Lawyers for the plaintiff stated he "has lived with the shame, humiliation, embarrassment, and the emotional and mental pain of that night ever since" and is seeking damages and a jury trial.

Jurors entered their second day of deliberations in the federal criminal case on Tuesday (01.07.25.)

A verdict has yet to be announced.
