Police investigation has ruled an officer began a sexual relationship with a civilian - met in a routine traffic stop

Police investigation has ruled an officer began a sexual relationship with a civilian - met in a routine traffic stop

After pulling her over, the officer contacted the woman by text - allegedly looking her up in the Police database.

Over following weeks - the officer visited the woman's house and three times engaged in consensual sexual activity.

The Independent Police Conduct Authority oversaw an internal police investigation, which found insufficient proof the officer had misused Police information.

    He resigned during the investigation.
