Sir David Beckham asked Roman Kemp to watch out for his son Romeo Beckham in their seven-a-side football games

Roman, 32, and Romeo, 23, have their own star-studded team, which includes fellow celebrities Tom Grennan and Petr Cech, in a local league and Romeo's famous father David, 50, asked Roman to watch out for him on the pitch

Roman told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "We have a seven-a-side team called Netflix n' Skills.

"I was at Romeo's birthday party a couple of weeks ago and his dad and all the family were there. David is like a hero of mine.

"He came over and said 'hi', and then turned to me and said, 'Look after him please.'"

Roman explained that David wasn't just being paranoid as Romeo has been targeted because of his fame.

He said: "To be fair, Romeo looks after himself, because obviously as soon as someone else sees him on the pitch, he gets a whack.

"A couple of months ago he got started on; they were giving him s***. And the other lads standing on the sideline, they're also giving him s***.

"But when it comes to Romeo, I told all the lads - most of them are all my school mates from primary school - 'DB7 told us we had to look after Romeo'.

"Football is escapism - he shouldn't be targeted because he's famous. But he's great - he just gets on with it."
