Scott Wolf called 2025 "the hardest year of my life", after dropping a restraining order against his wife Kelley

The 57-year-old actor - who has had months of legal issues with his estranged wife since filing for divorce in June - reflected on his tough year with a new post on Instagram and included a picture of a dumpster fire in the selection.

He wrote: "2025 Recap. Grateful for the hardest year of my life. The curriculum was brutal for those I love most. There was suffering, learning, growing, loving, laughing, crying. Mostly learning and growing. In other words, life. I think we passed. I love my people more than ever. I love people more than ever. I love my work more than ever. So the hardest year brought the most love. Life indeed. Wishing you all a 2026 full of love."

While he didn't include any pictures of Kelley in the post, Scott shared images of their three kids, along with some professional highlights.

Scott filed for divorce from Kelley - with whom he shares children Jackson, 16, Miller, 13, and Lucy, 11 - on June 9, 2025, after 21 years of marriage.

A few weeks later, Scott - who was awarded sole custody of the couple's children - applied for a restraining order against Kelley.

He admitted in August that the situation between the pair was "incredibly difficult and contentious".

Scott told PEOPLE in a statement: "[My] continued hope is to have this most difficult chapter of our family's lives remain as private as possible, however, the well being of my children is at stake, and that will always be my priority.

"There are some significant challenges that are making our situation incredibly difficult and contentious, and it is tragic for all involved.

"I was informed of some deeply disturbing and entirely false allegations that were made about me by my estranged wife."

Kelley was later arrested and charged with harassing Scott and subsequently revealed she would be going to rehab.

She said in court: "I have informed everyone that needs to know, I will be attending a [treatment centre] starting on September 12.

"This is what was asked of me by both Bart Johnson and Scott Wolf now for six months - all I wanted to do was leave a marriage.

"I am excited to go [into treatment]. I'm looking forward to it. My brother is taking me. It's fantastic. It's a great place. I recommended it all the time as a mental health professional myself, so September 12, I will be there for a month. I hope that helps."

However, she checked out shortly afterwards but at the end of September, a judge issued a court-ordered minimum 60-day involuntary psychiatric hold during which she is required to remain on prescribed medication.

A source told People magazine: "She is currently being held against her will as she was deemed a danger to herself and others.

"Right now, [it's important] to stabilise her mood with medication. But she is okay."

In mid-October, Kelley was transferred to a different mental health facility for the remainder of her treatment.

And last month, a court in Utah granted Scott's oral request to dismiss the temporary protective order against Kelley.

According to PEOPLE, the case was then dismissed and protective orders issued have been dec lared null and void.
