II should be fine weather today for crews trying to retrieve two bodies from Mt Taranaki

The two climbers, who worked for environmental and engineering consultancy Tonkin Taylor were located very early yesterday morning.

Recovery attempts yesterday were unsuccessful.

MetService meteorologist Nicole Ranger says conditions are pretty good today.

She says there are clouds around the mountain's lower slopes - but it should be clear up higher.
