Two women have been found safe and well after spending a night lost in Auckland's Hunua Ranges

Two women have been found safe and well after spending a night lost in Auckland's Hunua Ranges

Concern was growing as they hadn't been seen since setting off for a walk on Saturday morning.

But they were found by two men, armed with local knowledge, who had heard they were missing and went looking for them.

The women were found safe and well last night, about 10 kilometres from where they'd started their tramp.

It's likely they walked up to 30 kilometres lost through dense bush, in 24 hours.
