    There are still unanswered questions around how a man who allegedly stabbed a Christchurch mother, was released from mental health unit


    Canterbury District Health Board has launched a full review after a patient from Hillmorton Hospital, has been accused of murdering Laisa Maraia Waka r in a random knife attack.

    She was stabbed just metres from her home in Sockburn on Saturday.

    National MP for Christchurch Gerry Brownlee says the review needs to make it clear where the failings were.

    He says someone made the decision to let him out despite his dangerous circumstances.
