Police have charged two men after the death of Napier man Boy Taylor, in the city's centre on Wednesday

Emergency services were called to a person lying on the street, near the intersection of Emerson Street and Hastings Street, in the early hours.

Despite CPR, Taylor was unable to saved.

A 21-year-old and a 33-year-old man have been charged with wounding with intent, to cause grievous bodily harm.

They're due to appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow.

Police say they cannot rule out the possibility of further arrests, and charges.
