A Hamilton restaurant is staying open for dinner service tonight, despite an armed robbery earlier today

Two offenders with a firearm reportedly entered Smith and McKenzie's Steak House before 11:20 this morning, targeting cash, then fleeing a vehicle.

The get-away car was found, with armed police and cordons involved.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant says there were tears because Fathers' days plans for diners were disrupted.
