They are issuing a warning to businesses after three recent scam incidents.
Detective Sergeant Mark Renfree says in each instance, the perpetrator has called a local hardware business ordering a large amount of product.
The person then tries charging it to a company account before ordering an Uber driver to pick up the order.
Renfree says the scammers are not only committing fraud, but they are involving innocent and unaware Uber drivers.
