    Serial sex offender Stewart Murray Wilson has appealed his latest convictions and sentence


    Police re-investigated the man known as 'The Beast of Blenheim' in 2016, which led to several new charges.

    He was sentenced in 2018 to two years and four months' jail for historic offences against three victims.

    Today, at the Court of Appeal in Wellington, the 72-year-old claimed the Crown abused the judicial process by charging him in spite of a stay in proceedings by the Attorney-General nearly 20 years ago.

    The Court reserved its decision.
