    Notching test century number two has been on the mind of Tom Blundell for some time


    The Black Caps 'makeshift' opener has scored 121 in New Zealand's second innings of their 247 run Boxing Day test loss to Australia in Melbourne.

    Blundell scored 107 on debut batting at number eight against the West Indies in 2017.

    He says it had been a while in between tons.



    Meanwhile, Auckland spinner Will Somerville's been called into the squad as an injury replacement for Trent Boult ahead of the third test in Sydney.
