A Christchurch Early Child Education centre is asking for their stolen sun sail back

A Christchurch Early Child Education centre is asking for their stolen sun sail back

The Dallington centre's principal, Sarah Matenga, says a child noticed it was gone last week.

Children can't play in the sandpit - a class favourite - as it's simply too hot and despite hats and sunscreen, no one wants to risk sunburn.

The sail costs 1475 dollars to replace - too high for the non profit centre.

This isn't the first time they've had property stolen - their gas water heating system was stolen off the side of their building in a previous event.
