    Wellington's cricketers will accept their first Plunket Shield title in 16 years, regardless of how the silverware's been forged


    New Zealand Cricket has called off the season with two rounds left due to as part of coronavirus prevention.

    The Firebirds had a 26-point advantage.

    Glenn Pocknall's side also won the Super Smash T20 competition in his maiden season as coach.

    He's not sure exactly how they determined the awarding of the four-day trophy, but he's not concerned.
