Rugby commentator Joe Wheeler's job appears safe after he used a mock-Asian accent in the post-match coverage of the Crusaders-Highlanders clash

Wheeler used the accent while referencing the performance of Japanese flanker Kazuki Himeno who started for the Highlanders for the first time.
A statement was sent out by Sky, saying Wheeler had apologised to both Himeno and the Highlanders franchise.
No reference was made about an employment sanction for Wheeler.
He also apologised on Twitter.
