    Two high profile withdrawals following stage nine of of the Tour de France


    Previous yellow jersey wearer Mathieu van der Poel has pulled the pin to turn his attentions to the Tokyo Olympics, while Jumbo Visma's Primoz Roglic Roglic has succumbed to his crash related injuries and also withdrawn.

    Australian Ben O'Connor took his maiden victory to move to second overall, finishing five minutes ahead of the field on the 145k stage.

    He sums up the up the day.......



    Tadej Pogacar remains in the yellow jersey, with a lead of two minutes over O'Connor.
