    Authorities have yet to provide details, on a reported Covid-19 case in a surgical ward at Auckland's Middlemore Hospital


    An employee at Middlemore Hospital has confirmed the case to 1 News.

    Three men were in the same room as the man for several hours -- after he was admitted to hospital yesterday morning.

    They include a 91-year-old man -- who says the patient "sneezing and coughing and made us all worried".

    He says the patient arrived about 7am, was checked on about 10.30am, and was then taken away by people in PPE about 3.30pm.

    Newstalk ZB has approached Counties Manukau DHB for comment.
