The investigation into the death of a Te Kuiti man in Otorohanga last night continues

Initial inquiries indicate the 34 year-old died after an altercation between two groups following an earlier 'road rage' incident.

Police don't think the groups were known to each other.

One of the groups arrived on Maniapoto Street at about 6.30, in two vehicles.

Both vehicles are being forensically examined.

A post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow.
