    Shane van Gisbergen's doffed his helmet to Will Brown who has notched his maiden Supercars victory in race 28 during the latest round at Sydney


    Teammate Jamie Whincup pipped van Gisbergen into third by three tenths of second, at one stage running him off the track.

    Van Gisbergen says Brown's success is overdue for Erebus Motorsport.



    Van Gisbergen remains 337 points ahead of Whincup at the top of the standings.

    Two weekends remain, including the final round at Bathurst.
