    More details about our latest Covid-19 death


    A man in his 40s has died at Middlemore Hospital.

    Officials are checking to see if this is our youngest death from the virus.

    Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield acknowledged the death today, saying the man has been in hospital for a while - and it's very sad for their family.

    Health authorities don't reveal the vaccination status of people who've died with Covid.
