    David Ball is putting his physical health on the line for the Wellington Phoenix


    The forward set up the winning goal for striker Ben Waine in their 1-nil A-League win over Western Sydney at Eden Park.

    Ball is carrying a toe injury and has been in a moon boot during the week - only to stock up on painkillers on game day.

    Coach Ufuk Talay says his dedication is inspiring.
