    Dominic Thiem's struggles have continued since returning to the men's World Tennis Tour from a long injury layoff


    The former US Open champion has lost in straight sets to Andy Murray in the first round in Madrid.

    New Zealand's Erin Routliffe and her Polish partner Alicja Rosolska have been beaten by the top seeds in second round of the doubles at the Madrid tennis Open.

    They've lost 6-2 6-4 to Aussie Storm Sanders and China's Zhang Shuai .
