Ryan Fox believes he's very much in contention despite a sluggish start to his US Open campaign

Ryan Fox believes he's very much in contention despite a sluggish start to his US Open campaign

The New Zealand number one has some work to do just to make the cut at Brookline, starting his second round overnight on four over par, eight shots off the pace being set by Canadian Adam Hadwin.

Fox's putter went cold on the back nine but feels his game is in good shape.

Danny Lee has even more ground to make up starting the day on six over par.
