A big payday for the Wellington Phoenix with goalkeeper Alex Paulsen heading to a Premier League club - in the biggest transfer in club history

The New Zealand Herald's reporting that Paulsen's move to Bournemouth is a done deal... it's believed to be worth at least $1.77 million dollars but could rise to as much as $4 million or more.

The 21-year-old had a breakout A-League season, named keeper of the year after helping Wellington to their historic second-place finish in the regular season.

He conceded the least goals of any custodian, clocking up 12 clean sheets.

The Herald understands that as well as the Cherries, there was also interest from two other Premier League outfits, Liverpool and Chelsea.
