Liam Lawson's left wondering what might have been after a costly pit stop error at Formula One's season ending race in Abu Dhabi

Liam Lawson's left wondering what might have been after a costly pit stop error at Formula One's season ending race in Abu Dhabi

The Kiwi driver was eighth when he entered the pits - when the Racing Bulls crew failed to attach his front left wheel correctly.

Lawson had to pit again as a result - which saw him slapped with a 10 second penalty.

To make matters worse, his engine gave out on the final lap - leaving him with his first career 'DNF'.

Lando Norris took the chequered flag from Ferrari duo Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc to secure McLaren the constructors championship.
