The family of a man who took his life while under a Hamilton mental health facility's care - is gutted by Health New Zealand's latest findings

The family of a man who took his life while under a Hamilton mental health facility's care - is gutted by Health New Zealand's latest findings

Health NZ yesterday released its review into how an 11-year-old was mistaken for an adult mental health patient earlier this month, and administered adult drugs at the Henry Bennett centre.

Dave MacPherson lost his son 10 years ago, and believes the review shows nothing's improved despite their efforts.

He says the same lack of care makes it feel as though the system always wins to keep itself covered.
