Te Pati Maori MPs are refusing to back down after debate into their suspension was postponed

Leader of the House Chris Bishop adjourned the debate on the Privileges Committee's suspension recommendation, after 20 minutes.

The proposal was to suspend co-leaders Rawiri Waititi and Debbie Ngarewa Packer for 21 days, and Hana Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke for seven for doing a haka during the Treaty Principle Bill's vote.

Ngarewa-Packer told supporters outside Parliament yesterday - they know they're a threat when their opponents start playing super-chess.
