The Southern Steel can't wait to have regular skipper Kate Heffernan back on the netball court in the ANZ Premiership

The Southern Steel can't wait to have regular skipper Kate Heffernan back on the netball court in the ANZ Premiership

The Silver Ferns vice-captain is nursing a knee injury, putting more pressure on new recruit Kimiora Poi in the midcourt.

Poi is relishing her time with the Steel following a switch from the Tactix, but she'll be pleased when Heffernan is playing beside her.

The Steel are at home in Invercargill, tackling the third-placed Pulse from 4.15pm this afternoon.

NETBALL COVERAGE WITH THE ANZ PREMIERSHIP. LIVE, SATURDAY TO MONDAY.
